Ice-cream Stick Spiral Wall hanging - DIY

I am posting step by step tutorial on how to do it, and this is  inspired spiral wall hanging craft. A few months back, I noticed this type of wall hanging made with palm leaf strips. The exact material which we see in  korai pai( table wall hangings).

 Thing's you'll require:

Ice-cream sticks (popsicle sticks) - 80

Glue - ( I have used Indian Fevicol Glue)

Cloth clips - 5 to 6

Thread - to hang it.

Colors : Fabric or acrylic or oil or water colour

I painted using Fabric.

 

Step 1: 

Place two sticks in cross or X direction. Apply glue on it.

Step 2:

Repeat the same steps placing the sticks in cross direction.

Step 3 :

You could place five to eight , and I have  made 6 to 8  cross sticks in completing one single piece.

Step 4:

After completely its dried, paint it with colors. 

Step 5:

Place two sticks one after another, and now wrap the center with thread. Now stick the thread sticks with above portion pieces.

Step  6:

Finally, complete sticking all pieces. I have added cloth clips because it holds more firm while pasting two pieces.

Ice-cream stick Spiral Wall Hanging is ready.

You could twist the stick bottom, it would be colorful while its spinning round.

Popscile/Ice-cream stick crafts

This decorative wall hanging can be prepared with Popsicle, glue, and photos or designs of your choice.

Things you'll require:

Ice-cream sticks- 1 packet ( available in craft or fancy stores )

glue - fevicol

stones or chamkis - I used left over chamkis

A Lakshmi god piece - this is available in photo frames shops which sells religious accessories.
