Centerpiece Flower Decoration - Art from waste

Centerpiece Flower Decoration - Art from Waste

Things you'll require:

Old container/pot - ( I have used my moisturising glass pot)

Candle leftovers or you could use readymade candles available in shops.

Some artificial flowers

I have made candle by using left over wax. You need a thread and left over wax.  Melt the wax, and pour into the container (Note it should be glass container or terracotta pot - Do not use plastic bottles). Usage of plastic tends to melt, so avoid using it.

Before it turns into candle, you could insert the thread .

This how it looks after insertion of thread

Pour some water and make the artifical flowers to float. You could also use real flowers or rose petals.

Finally this how it looks. I have terrible camera and photograph skills ,,,,:-)

Old Bottle Opener Decoration

While cleaning my rooms, I found some waste things. One among them is my  bottle opener. It looks old , ugly and seems to be like thrown away. But, I feel like doing something with it. So first thing, I washed it using liquid handwash.
It's too much old, I scrapped all the dirt and washed two to three times. Pat it to dry, and painted.

Paint of your choice

For polka dots, I have used red nail paints, and if you have any left over nails, you could play with it.
You need a pencil or anything that is round to bring a polka effect. Finally, applied varnish. If you want to try out new designs, you could use nail paints, because for a week it comes back to normal.

But after applying varnish, nail paints lasts long. I have used black fabric paint for background.
Sprinkle some glitters. I have used Transparent glitter silver nail paint.

I don't need the designs permanent, so I haven't used any glue. For decorating these slippers you could use stone or designer bindis available at Indian stores.
